I hate to be the barer of bad news but summer is ending. We may not have had the summer we wanted, deserved, or dreamed of thanks to COVID but theres always something special about summer. No matter how you spent it, it easy to mourn its end. A sadness comes over me as I begin packing up the bright neon crop tops, paper bag waist shorts, and strappy sandals. Before we bid our last farewell, I wanted to share some of my favorite end of summer picks!

Styles from the 70s and 90’s are back in full effect. From bell sleeves, to tie dye, satin slip dresses, flair leg jeans, shirt dresses, crochet and lace, and of course so many earthy, and bold shades! Regardless of age or esthetic there is a way to show off this style. I always reach for maxi dresses in the summer and this 70’s inspired design hit the mark. I purchased this Eloquii dress mid summer and it didn’t get the chance to shine until now. I paired this with Torrid Sunglasses some retro style Studded Platform Wedge Sandals and the Starburst Cross Body Bag.

Tie Dye isn’t just for the teens! There were so many great options this summer but personally I loved the simplicity of this Navy dress from Torrid. It nails the decade without trying too hard and was super easy to accessorize with Kendra Scott pieces. I also had some fun with my makeup and used this fanny pack full of glittery bold products from Pixi Beauty! Sky high cork wedges and a neon mini purse make it fashion!

Target has always been a place where I could find on trend, seasonal, and sometimes designer items. This year they had the designer dresses collection. I only picked up one dress from Cushnie and it did not disappoint. Faux silk, cowl neck, and color-blocking with thin spaghetti straps are ultimate 90’s chicness. I paired with Paint Splatter slip on heels.

Jumpsuits were huge this summer! So huge in fact, that I was even asked for my opinion in New York Magazine ! Going along with the 90s bold neon hues, my feature of choice is this Christian Siriano jumpsuit from Co Edition. Transitional accessories like a Straw Fedora Hat and bold green sunnies can easily transition into fall!

Sunflowers were everywhere in the 90’s and the sunny pattern is back on everything! I loved this sunny top I found at Torrid! Bag is from Shoedazzle. Also, would you believe I shoot this at an off ramp from the highway? I saw these gorgeous flowers growing, including sunflowers! I had to stop and pull over for this amazing look.

Lastly, pastels! Normally, these are the color of spring, but pastels were everywhere in the 90s! We saw them in plaid, sweaters, fuzzy pens (I used to make them in junior high school!), and of course dresses. So I though, why choose just one when I can be a pastel rainbow on a labor day weekend! Torrid maxi dress paired with Kate Spade!

I wish warm weather, beach trips, ice cream, and sunshine could last forever, we must bid it goodbye on September 21st!
